Mixologust Miguel Aranda has partnered with Casa Mezcalā€™s Ignacio Carballido to reinvent the downstairs lounge area, formerly Obra Negra. Botanic Lab opened in Fall 2013 featuring a menu of innovative cocktails that highlight Aranda's interest in spices and herbs from around the world with unique flavor profiles and holistic applications. Cocktails feature Aranda's assortment of house made bitters, teas and tinctures. These elixirs are contained in ancient apothecary bottles, which line the walls of this test kitchen style bar and performance venue. Botanic Lab is truly a place to play, with Aranda providing a full sensory experience to guests every night of the week.
